The survey aimed at estimating the prevalence of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) among pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) cases, detecting gene mutations conferring drug resistance, and identifying ways to enhance the prevention and control of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB).
